05/07/2004 - The new BOOSTER induction taper heater from Inductoheat Banyard for heating of Aluminium Billets for extrusion.
The BOOSTER is a low cost, compact induction boost taper heater for use with a gas or induction pre-heater. It features servo-controlled billet positioning for accuracy and high speed. The heavy-duty construction and a proven design ensure reliability. The unit is compact and easily integrated into retrofit or new applications.

The coil is graded to give the required fixed taper gradient. The standard taper is 10 deg C per 100mm / 150 F per foot with a starting temperature of 350 deg C / 662 F.

01/12/2004 - Inductoheat Banyard to supply an Aluminium Billet Heater to Hindalco Industries in India.
This new billet heating system is for the leading Indian Aluminium company Hindalco Industries in Renukoot. The main equipment is an Inductoheat Banyard ‘Zero Friction’ billet heater with a dynamic taper facility. Cold and hot billet handling conveyors, water system and a billet temperature check station complete the scope of the project.

The new facility replaces an existing log heater and hot shear. The installation will take place in a very short time, to minimise any impact on production, in early 2005.
